Lauren is a HR Business Partner at UK Sport, providing strategic HR business partnering to both Communications & Partnerships and to the Performance Directorates.
After graduating with an English Literature degree from Lancaster University, Lauren spent time working in the hospitality management before deciding to pursue her passion for people and business by competing an MSc in Human Resource Management.
Lauren then spent three years working at British Cycling in a HR Business Partner capacity. There she jointly headed up the HR Team, developing and implementing the People Strategy and a new HR operating model. Through Lauren’s work there, she gained a deep understanding of Elite sport, and sports operations and governance through her partnering with Performance, the Operations and the Integrity & Compliance Directorates.
Moving in December of 2020 to UK Sport, Lauren was keen to develop her career working within HR in Sport. Lauren’s current portfolio involves project work encompassing Learning & Development, People Strategy, Management Development and Organisational Development.
Lauren is also qualified in Strategic Leadership & Management through the Chartered Management Institute.
Outside of work, Lauren is enjoys walking and cycling at the weekends with her friends and family.
